AVOIDING THE STAKEHOLDER SWOOP + POOP

Put an end to last-minute requests for new features, functionality and redesign.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before:

You’re in the home stretch of development and heading toward launch when people in the organization — whom you’ve never heard from before now — suddenly swoop in and mandate changes to everything you’ve done.

Most of us know this scenario as the "swoop and poop." Just like that seagull at the beach who swoops in out of nowhere and shits all over what you're doing, that manager or executive has made a mess of everything you're doing.

Believe it or not, there are good reasons this happens to us.

And quite often, we're actually the cause.

In this video I'm going to explain why this phenomenon occurs, along with concrete, proactive steps you can take to minimize or eliminate it — before and during a project.
